We have been using EPIC since 2011 as our client-facing software platform that integrates with all other applications we use at my job (iPad/iPhone app). The benefits are easy access from anywhere via WiFi or mobile data connections; ability easily share docs between apps such us emailing directly into an appointment note field within Epic instead sending attachments which is nice when you're not near your computer!
