Before I got this silicone car phone holder, I used another AC car phone holder that blocked the AC vent and when I used it, it was like a double-sided sword. It gets very hot in here, so the air conditioning vent won't let me blow on it. Then my phone got very hot in winter because air conditioner heat blown directly on it, so I wanted to try this silicone car phone holder to see how it works. Pros: 1. Initially, I really liked this silicone car phone holder and the ability to finally drive a car, and for the first time in a year, I got air blown out of the vent, there was an automatic WIN! 2. This only works to hold your phone horizontally not vertically so be aware of that before you buy it. It has a thin silicone or rubber pad on the bottom so you don't have to worry about scratching your dashboard. Make sure you put it on a flat surface.4. I really like the color and the design and it fits perfectly with the interior of my car. I also liked how it was positioned right in front of my ferris wheel so I could look straight down the road and see the map on the GPS5. It actually holds up very well and my phone doesn't hang around at all. 6. It has multiple angles so you can tilt your phone, which is useful when you have different sized phones.7. It says you can wash the underside of the base if you're having trouble sticking, but since I've only been using it for a couple of weeks I haven't been able to test that. What I was able to test was sticking it on the dash and using it in one spot for a couple of days and then just removing it and then sticking it somewhere else on the dash to see if I got that corner liked and how it worked champion. Cons: 1. I use an iPhone 11 Pro Max and it holds it very well, but one issue I noticed is that no matter where I placed the silicone car phone holder on the dashboard, the sun glare was terrible! Because my phone is larger, I could only use the first grip on the mount, and when I tried to use the second or third grip, I couldn't see the screen well and more glare appeared on the screen. 2. Another thing that was very frustrating was that the sun made the phone very hot when it fell directly on it and after driving about 20-30 minutes my phone started to shine due to overheating.3. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I've noticed that while my phone stays in place, when I bump against the bumps I hear the bumps on the plastic (that annoying clicking sound you hear). The phone stays in place like a champ and doesn't move, but the mount itself moves and wobbles, causing the noise.3. It's not really a disadvantage, but if you're not used to using your phone in landscape mode, you'll be disappointed until you get used to the landscape setting. Overall I give this silicone car phone holder 3.5 stars. **** Valuation. I like it, but didn't like the clicking sounds and the harsh sunlight.
