Review on CL606 Brake Vehicle Anti Theft Device by Matthew Outlaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My car was broken into but they couldn't remove the brake lock!

I can say that this device saved my car from theft. I drive a late 90's Honda Civic. Although they are reliable and not very glamorous, they are often stolen because they are quite easy to steal and there is a demand for spare parts. Knowing this, I've had it for a number of years and always wear it when I'm not in the garage. I've been using it for years with no problems, although there haven't been any tests to really know how effective it is. That was until a few weeks ago I went to my car and noticed that my papers were strewn everywhere, the glove box and trunk were open, and the brake lock wasn't in the position I left it in (I've always had it I pull it very tight and as straight as I can). maybe (I don't like that it's parallel to the ground). Looking at my brake pedal the thief must have tried a bit to deal with it as they bent my brake pedal a bit although they couldn't get it off. The thief then went through the car looking for the key (which I keep on the fob along with the keys. So I can honestly say that this item saved my car from being stolen. This experience gave me another theft deterrent purchased device (which also bypasses the brake pedal and is attached to the steering wheel) along with the ignition cut-off and fuel system.

Pros
  • Club's patented self-locking system locks in one movement
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
