Review on 📺 Pioneer AVH-210EX 6.2-Inch Touchscreen DVD Receiver with Bluetooth for 2-DIN Dash by Adam Browning

I bought two AVH-210EX stereos to replace two of the three junk Boss 9351B stereos I installed a year ago. I had 3 boss stereos and they all crapped and died within a year. These AVH-210EX stereos have excellent touch screens. All you need is a light touch and the response will be quicker than other brands I've tested. Bluetooth pairing with my Android phones is perfect. I love the 13 band equalizer that allows me to tweak the speakers for amazing music. no more muddy bass. FM reception is excellent, MUCH better than the original factory stereo! Pioneer uses the E-Brake on-off-on signal to activate DVD and other functions. So you can't just ground the brake sensor wire to bypass the safety cutoff. You need one of those 3-wire brake bypass interfaces. I used Revain's APPS2Car parking brake override. The steering wheel control interface (Axxess ASWC-1) works much better with this AVH-210EX than crappy Boss stereos. The steering wheel controls now respond just as quickly as the original factory stereo. very pretty! The only thing I don't like about these stereos is that the USB and AUX jacks are on the back of the unit. You'll need to run a USB extension cable and dangle it under the dash or get a USB/AUX cigarette lighter adapter to keep the setup looking professional. I bought a $10.99 Revain adapter that replaces a cigarette lighter or 12v power outlet. USB/AUX adapters are also made to fit an empty switch. I really think the USB and 3.5mm AUX ports should be on the front. If they were on the front of the device I would give it 5 stars. Update 04/25/2019: This stereo has an iPod function, that was one of the reasons I bought it. My son has a 120GB iPod classic (latest generation from Apple). His iPod works great with my 2017 Toyota Corolla and with a 2019 Chevy, but it doesn't work with this Pioneer stereo. Stereo shows ERROR 02-60 with this iPod. I did a lot of research on the internet and found out that Pioneer has problems with the iPod. Some Pioneer manuals talk about updating iPod firmware to fix error 02-60. This iPod has no updates and works great with other stereos. I emailed Pioneer twice with no response so I deducted another star. If you're buying this stereo to connect to your iPod, you might want to try it before you buy it or just look at another brand that doesn't have iPod issues.
