I believe I received a defective hose. Worked fine for a while, then dishwasher didn't fill enough water to complete the wash cycle. After replacing the pump, hoping that the problem is there (and not there), I pulled out the hose and tried to blow it out, but didn't succeed very well. I started the air compressor and blew out the hose with a towel on the other end to catch whatever came up. I tore out a piece of rubber. Plugged the hose back in and the dishwasher ran a cycle and the same thing happened. Another piece of rubber cut out. The hose connects directly to the water line, no connections other than the fittings on the hose are used. Bad hose. Now I will go with the copper pipe. Spring.
