Perfect for 2005 Lexus LS430! Very easy to install; takes about 15 minutes if you have the necessary tools on hand (it's really just a wrench of choice). I was tired of how cheap they are compared to what is sold at parts stores and auto repair shops but they work great and I am very happy with the purchase. **If you still have OE struts installed** you will need an adjustable wrench or open end wrench (or similar) to remove the entire ball stud on both ends of the strut. The original strut does not have a locking clip to allow the strut to be removed and the ball stud reused requiring the entire assembly to be removed. Ratchet wrenches with a 12mm head - they screw directly into the original threads on the underside of the hood and on the side of the engine bay. With the ball studs in place, the struts snap into place with minimal effort. removed or adjusted to install spacers; this is only required when removing this type of rack. It may take a little effort to move the struts the first time you install them, but once the hood is closed and reopened they are ready to use.
