Great for creating black and gray!
I love jacquard acid dyes. I'm in love with this black because it produces a fantastic neutral black and even with very little dye produces some great grays with no weird warm or cold overtones. Black is very difficult to mix without purple or brown undertones but I am very happy with this dye. I dye 100% wool yarn and this gives a great gray at a weight of 0.1% for a very light gray to 0.8%. for medium/dark charcoal. At 6 wt% dye I had a deep black. Even with very little dye, I don't see any blue-violet or yellow-brown tones.
