I bought these binoculars as a gift having owned them for the past five years. We keep them in the bird watching glove box when they are not in our backpack during tourist season. They are very light but at the same time resilient when viewed by freshmen from Africa where they have proven themselves in gold. Always ready to hand, either in your pocket or around your neck, not hanging around your neck like larger glasses. Their brightness and field of view are pretty amazing for such a small set. The plane of focus and ability to focus is amazing. The only downside might be the price but you are buying a Leica product and this product is a great example of that quality and engineering.
