I also have last year's model which I thought was an amazing charger except for one flaw I thought it had but it's now fixed thanks to the amazing performance of this year's model. First, it's smaller than the other model, which I think is a plus as it takes up less space on your console. It is very durable. Whether you use a suction cup or air vent mount, it won't wobble, loosen or fall off. Fast charging is only as good as your home fast charger. Just make sure your plug-in supports enough power for fast charging. Capability. Automatic fingers work smoothly and beautifully to pinch or release your phone. Finally, an issue they fixed with this year's model: after unplugging, you could still disconnect or jam the phone a couple of times without power. I think it's a great feature because I can't tell you how many times I turned off the car before opening the phone.
