Review on Jasonwell Magnetic Aquarium Fish Tank Glass Algae Cleaner - Floating Brush (L Size) by Bobby Cantu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Medium was too much for my 10-gallon tank

I gave this five stars because although the implement is unwieldy and the magnet is too strong for my situation, it should not be accessed on the basis of my incorrect choice. I went by the reviews of many people who said that the magnet was too weak for their tank. Perhaps I did not read the reviews closely enough to match apples for apples, but here is the upshot. I have a ten-gallon tank but am not sure exactly what the thickness of the glass is in inches or millimeters. For this tank, the magnet is too strong. I have to drag it across the tank and it fights me. Yes, it cleans well enough. (For the record, I am an athletic older male and still have strong hands and arms.) Additionally, the device is a tad too big to maneuver easily. My other glass scrubber from another brand, which was nearly identical to this one, was probably the equivalent to the small size of this brand and more suited to my ten-gallon tank. If you have a small tank, at least ten gallons or less, from my experience, I suggest you consider the smallest iteration of this glass cleaner. If you do not mind a rough ride, then perhaps you can try this one. If I had to purchase again, I would try the smaller model. I guess most people who complained about the magnet's inability to hold the handle through the glass had larger tanks--75 gallons or so. I have not used the blades yet. I hope this helps.
