The investment is worth it, both financially and in terms of time!
They last forever and once I've learned how to use them they're pretty reliable. (I'm not saying it doesn't take a little time, but it's definitely worth the result.) I use some bobby pins to hold my hair in place (I have very fine, flyaway hair) and hold it not only does it stay long all day, but and my hair looks amazing pulling it out after wearing the vintage roller all day! I broke a few clear rubber bands (I have a lot of them), but I can still use them with some skill. I recommend this product.
