I don't think they are "universal " - we drive on the right side of the road!
The description was "universal". In my car the driver is on the left when you take the carpet off, the dent is on the LEFT but my gas pedal is on the RIGHT so my heel can't be in the "heavy" part and my ( dirty ) shoe heel marks my original carpets, which I try to protect from dirt and damage! They look good and I like that the piping looks solid.
