I read the reviews on the old model and chose this one because it has improved Wi-Fi capabilities. I have a router with 2.4 and 5 GHz. I followed the instructions and the device connected well. The first 24 hours it was plugged in the device time was 12 hours shorter, which didn't really matter as 6 hours is still 6 hours in my mind. BUT. It seemed like after some connection time he would just have to make up his own mind because now he is reading the correct time. Notifications seem to come to my phone when the temperature/RH is outside of the range you've specified, although that's not the biggest issue for me. I love that there is a detailed timeline showing what is going on in your room over the course of an hour/day/week etc. I wish the app had a little more time as it feels a bit clunky. I also couldn't make it compatible with my Alexa devices, not even knowing it was an enabled feature, so again not a deal breaker for me. In general, what I wanted turned out for a reasonable price!
