Review on Oil Rubbed Bronze Straight Grab Bar by CSI Bathware - BAR-SB18-TW-125-OB by Brad Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works good but smooth

Before ordering I found the posts in the wall with a finder to determine the length of pole I would order. Like most homes, my wall shelves have 16 inch centers. It just so happens that the post placement is perfect for angling the crossbar the way I wanted, so I ordered an 18" crossbar. I was able to use the two holes on each handle flange to thread the included Phillips head screws into the studs. I drilled a pilot hole half the diameter of the screw for each screw since Phillips screws break easily. Two screws per grip flange are more than sufficient. The handle doesn't wobble. I didn't find any scratches or chipped paint like some people have described. Flange covers are easy to assemble and disassemble. I recommend this product. Update: After a few uses I found I was having trouble with my hand losing grip because the paint was so slick on the stick. I bought a roll of Revain Fusion black silicone tape and wrapped it around the handlebars. That helped. If you think you'll want to wrap the pole, I recommend wrapping it before installing the pole.
