Suitable for filtering and softening water

This is the last filter in my reverse osmosis system. On the one hand, I had to tape the adapter with Teflon tape to stop the leak from the poor fit; the first time (I change them every six months). DRAIN THE FIRST QUARTER INTO A BUCKET ABOUT to rid the line of process contaminants before adding water to your system.
