I've been a natural for about 10 years, but lately I've had a lot of entanglements so I started learning Texax. This product was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I have fine, non-relaxed hair, 3C, and applied this relaxer in two steps to ensure as much consistency as possible in a loose curl pattern. I parted the hair at the crown and first relaxed the bottom half of the hair, washed with shampoo and conditioner, and then relaxed the top half of the hair, washed with shampoo and deep conditioner. The instructions say 13 minutes for my fine hair, but I left the relaxer on for 6 minutes, including application and straightening. The product is incredibly soft and the results have been amazing - exactly what I was aiming for. I still have curls but now I also have extra length and no tangles! I highly recommend loosening up your curl pattern a bit. Don't forget to buy the neutralizing shampoo separately.
