Looks very solid overall. It was very easy to clean, even the filter which I think had coffee residue stuck to it. Since I don't have a dishwasher, I wash everything by hand. The water quantity mark on the glass is only correct if there is a cup of coffee in the filter. So the actual capacity is 5 cups, not 4. My only concern is that the filter seems very fragile. Maybe it's intentional, maybe it helps the brewing process in some way. I do not know. I will be very sad if it breaks too soon. A French press is enough for this. None of the larger particles made it into my cup. The smallest ones (that can't be filtered out) settled to the bottom and stayed there as I poured the coffee into a glass jar (so I could brew another batch).
