A vet once gave me a similar box. I thought it worked pretty well. Fast forward to today. I have a new cat that is impossible to get into a plastic box that I own. So I ordered this product as I thought the opening would be much larger and it would be easier to place my cat through the top rather than the side like my plastic box. First, the top of this box seems overly complex. I've read other reviews where cats can open the lid of this box. And I understand how that's possible when I see the box locked. But that's not how my cat got away. No, her escape was much more dramatic. When I put it in the box I closed the lid because the cat tried to jump out. I would have won, but then the unthinkable happened. There is a seam on the side of the box where it will be glued. This seam came undone and the box "exploded". The cat was free and I had to look at a useless piece of cardboard. And that's why this product is honored to get my first one star review. Incidentally, it turned out that there are animal transport boxes made of plastic that can be opened from above. What a great idea! I ordered one of these and have high hopes again that one day I will be able to take my cat to the vet.
