First impressions are very good Even though you may have a legitimate reason why you can't connect, most people who can't connect seem to follow the instructions not obeying when it's their turn to turn the device on or off, turn the car on or off, or understand that Wi-Fi is a stronger connection and not Bluetooth. Yes, it will also use your Wi-Fi connection if you have a hotspot in the car, so understand you're making a deal on what works at the moment. You can't have everything for the money you spend and leave your car at the dealer hooked up to their diagnostic tool! Now that I've gone through the instructions myself (ahem!), hooked it up, I know I have five codes from another scanner and from an expensive dealer scan, so I had a good reference to start with. I also know how to clear codes myself without a device so the code clearing aspect is a good thing for people who don't know how to say it, this device picked up all the codes that I know of exist. I diligently repeated the diagnostics I spent money on with the dealer. It will save me money next time. As for the price, you can't argue that it doesn't come with the $10 app you need to run it. I think you have to be realistic about how little you spend and what you get. It's certainly good value for money and if it tells you something you didn't know without visiting the dealer it's great value for money - isn't that why you bought it? I have cleared all my codes and have another computer so I will run my machine again until it works with the codes that I know work and compare them to both computers. Then I will update this review. I used the Fusion app because I have more influence. If it doesn't work then the free app which may be buggy, poorly designed or just plain doesn't work and there is no one to turn to. I've converted many engines from cars to motorcycles into my own plane so I know I'm probably above the average user in terms of mechanical knowledge, but you really don't need any of that to use this device if you follow the instructions you can still get valuable data to guide your workshop to real problems and don't fall for the bait. Then ask yourself what is it worth? There you have it for $30 or less with software, the dealer has nothing like it except a cup of coffee, an appointment and maybe a free car wash with a tip LOL. Update I have another scanner that gave me additional codes such as camshaft sensor transmission sensor etc which were not part of my initial problems so I used this device again to clear the codes again and then the car with numerous stops and starts to test until I could activate the codes again. Exactly again. NiceThis device has accurately presented my codes multiple times with no errors. Not that you know me but I recommend this device for free.
