Our Smokey was 14 and 15 and all of a sudden he started acting like he had hip pain and needed to be picked up to get to his favorite spots. So we bought some ramps, arranged stools and furniture so he could gradually ascend to his favorite spots. When he tried to jump, his effort was weak and he slipped and fell to the ground. The ramps and permutations worked great. He seemed to get worse and had trouble walking at times. I started looking for common treatments. I chose "Liquid-Vet Hip & Joint Support Formula for Cats, Chicken Flavored, 8 oz." The first bottle I bought was not approved. After opening and mixing with Smokey's Morning Moist Feed (we feed him this morning grain free treats to mix with Liquid Vet Joint Formula, Plaque Off, D-Mannose and another nutritional supplement - all three we've given Smokey his entire life and he has has it, never had a UTI and never got sick) we later found that a bottle of Liquid Vet should be refrigerated. On an unflavored Liquid Vet, Smokey, who never eats anything but chicken nuggets, kibble, chicken greens, and other chicken-flavored treats, appears to discreetly lick the unloved Liquid Vet. So, just to be on the safe side, we ordered another bottle, which we keep in the fridge this time, and bought the chicken flavored formula. Smokey seemed to enjoy the "wet taste of vet chicken" in his treats. He licked everything again. Smokey drank his first bottle completely. He weighs ten pounds, give or take, and seems to enjoy just a teaspoon of liquid vet in his treats, which mix well. Recently he started jumping in the chair with my wife. Ever since his hips began to hurt, his routine has been to climb up the ramp, work his paws up the ramp material, step over the edge of the table, over my knees, across the other table to my wife's knees. Now he just jumps onto her knees in the chair like he did before his joints started to hurt. We keep the ramps up because he likes them, he looks better, he seems to feel and act like he's not in the pain he used to be. Now he is about 15 years 5 months old. I don't think it's completely pain free, but it feels good. We have just launched its second full bottle. If your kitten has joint pain, we recommend Liquid Vet Feline Hip & Joint Formula! The product is made in the USA, which was the main reason for the purchase, but not the only one. The company is family owned which is another reason that is high on my shopping list! Another reason to buy was the product's simple ingredient list. We carefully monitor what we feed Smokey. We were surprised at how quickly Liquid Vet worked, but very grateful! We appreciate and are grateful that Liquid Vet makes such a wonderful product!
