Review on 🔒 3M Gold Privacy Filter for 14.0W Widescreen Notebook - Enhance Privacy and Security by Joseph Morris

Perfect for my Lenovo T450s. I use it gold side up and it works great. I turn down the general screen brightness significantly, so I turn it off when I'm not using my computer in public. So I wish it came with a scratch resistant case to put it in when I take it out. As others have noted, the filter has a product ID printed on top, but that's only noticeable against a light background and isn't really a distraction. Another point regarding my fit on my Lenovo - even before using the filter, my screen was picking up traces of regular finger oils left on the keyboard when my laptop was closed. This means that when the laptop is closed, the keyboard is in contact with the screen. I think the filter size is about 1mm and now the filter picks up those marks when I close the computer with the filter enabled. I've cleaned the filter with eyeglass cleaner and it seems fine, but only time will tell if contact with the keyboard permanently damages the filter. Assembly tip: I use the plastic tabs around the screen bezel. So I can put the protector on and take it off at any time. Make sure the tabs are pushed back far enough that all of the adhesive is on the frame. I only have a tiny piece of glue and it sticks to the filter making it difficult to insert and remove.
