Review on TYUMEN Pluggable LED Wire Connectors: Toolless 2 Pin Terminals for Quick Splice Wiring - No Wire-Stripping Needed (24pcs) by Matthew Baltimore

Extremely comfortable in VERY specific conditions

They didn't work at all for what I bought them for. After a few months they are very useful. Here's why: AWG: They definitely shouldn't be used outside of a small set of gauges. They were unsuitable for use with my 20 AWG speaker wire and in general I think the gauge supported is slightly lighter (+2 AWG) than the spec. However, most of the wires you buy from Amazon are smaller (+2 AWG) than advertised. So if you buy everything here it might work. INSULATION: The cable's sheath should be fairly thin. Others claim that you can cut some of the plastic to fix this problem, but then it won't stick properly or stay closed. The maximum overall diameter of a single inserted cable including insulation is approximately 2.15mm. RELIABILITY/SECURITY: Everything seems fine when you snap it in with channel locking pliers (to get the right mouth size), but it's hard to be sure how well the connection is made when the job is done. The contact area is small, so as mentioned before, it probably isn't refractory at one or two streams. I haven't seen the 10A spec that others have mentioned, but I wouldn't believe it for anything. Also, there's not really a hinge, just a plastic flap. So if you bend your jaws to the open position a few times, I think it will snap. COMFORT: This is where they really shine. I needed quick connectors for some low voltage sensors/contact switches and was at the end of hours of stripping, crimping and other tedious work on my project. I snapped these things onto the ends of the 24.5 AWG wires and done. Choosing the right tool to close them helped a lot. I like that they are hermaphroditic yet maintain polarity which was a plus for my project. A bit impractical was that the sponges want to close when the wires are plugged in, unless the connector is severely deformed.
