Review on πŸ” IOGEAR 4-Port Dual View Dual-Link DVI KVMP Switch with Audio and Full Cable Set - TAA Compliant (GCS1644) by Richard Cunningham

Works as expected, although setup can be a little tricky if you don't read the manuals.

I bought this to switch the monitor between two systems (Linux and Windows) mainly for gaming. To do this, I didn't need to have input lag and be able to disable emulation. Numerous reviews have shown that I might not have been able to do this: Disable emulation so I can use my gaming mouse and atypical keyboard. All of them are wrong. .In the user manual (Oh, don't people read this? I READ!) on page 22. Hotkey setting mode. It says enter hotkey customization mode by holding Num-Lock and pressing the minus (-) key before releasing Num-Lock. When in HSM, press "m" to disable mouse emulation. "n" to disable keyboard emulation. You now have a dumb switch that loops through everything. Now you can use any keyboard and mouse you want and they will work. I use a Lepopold FC660M keyboard and a Logitech G5 mouse with this switch and everything works great. There is a delay in re-detecting the mouse and keyboard when I switch the machine it binds me to, but it stops after a second and I'm playing games on my second machine again. Oh, and since nobody reads manuals, they probably read reviews. Use Scrl-Lock, Scrl-Lock, Enter to toggle inputs without pressing the buttons on the switch itself. There are a number of other keyboard shortcuts you can learn to have full remote control of your Switch without actually having to access it. These are some really powerful features of this switch. Read the manual. You'll be amazed at what you can do. I can also confirm that the model I purchased supports dual DVI monitors.
