Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great monitor, but THERE IS NO DISPLAYPORT CABLE FOR THIS 240Hz monitor!

I don't know if this is my particular device, but there was no DisplayPort cable so I couldn't get 240Hz without another DisplayPort cable. This monitor also had some bleeding on the lower left side, but it went away after about 30 minutes. So far this monitor is great for gaming. I'm taking more of my shots and it's coming from a 144Hz VA panel. The image quality is not up to standard, but it is mainly used for gaming. UPDATE: I ordered a replacement due to a piece of metal sticking out in front of one of the HDMI ports. Also, I looked at the manual online and it should have been Displayport. However, the light bleeding is gone and everything else about this monitor is fantastic for gaming, especially games like Overwatch. Acer, you did a great job, but the quality control and the lack of a cable made the exchange justifiable for me. Last updated: 3/5 because support said they would send me a displayport cable. Instead I opted for a replacement and when the second monitor arrived I saw that it was also missing a DisplayPort cable. Why would Acer sell a 240Hz monitor and not include a cable to get it to 240Hz? All of my other gaming monitors came with the necessary cables to get the advertised speeds. The online manual also says a DisplayPort cable must be included, but Acer's online support said it was "optional", but all the other cables that came with it like HDMI and USB were listed as "optional" as well marked. The MSI 240Hz 0.5ms G-Sync monitor because it doesn't pull as much when the overdrive setting is set to extreme, but again no cable is required to get 240Hz right out of the box! That's another $10-$20 needed to get the most out of this monitor.
