Review on Rico Quill Record Player Stabilizer by Tiffany Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pleasantly low profile Weight 270 grams

A simple and attractive turntable weight. Helps reduce vibration and while hard to prove, I usually think my records sound better with a weight in the center of the record. This one has a flat design, which is good if you don't have a very high lid on your turntable. There is a lot of space on the lid of my variety turntable, but that could be a factor with other units. The underside of the weight has a protective finish that won't scratch or ruin the centers of your records, and aside from the top marks, I love everything about it. The weight also comes with a cleaning cloth. I'm not sure I would call it "high quality". It's only a thin cloth, but it can dust records and hasn't scratched any of my records yet. Overall a good product. I haven't had any tracking issues, but this may help if your tonearm is weighted correctly and you're still having tracking issues or jumps. I think this weight helps reduce micro-vibrations that can affect sound quality in more expensive systems.

Pros
  • Quality cleaning cloth included - Microfiber, anti-static, non-scratch - 14cm x 14cm - A valuable musical reserve
Cons
