Protective Plastic doesn't have straight edges, so if you need to trim it for your work, at least 3 jagged edges. No doubt it will come out wrong. I got this to protect my wall from food and water splashes. I wish I hadn't. It looks worse than spilling food and water! It was so twisted that it was so difficult to place on the wall. There weren't enough adhesive stickers in the kit and even with a light application trying to move the plastic tears the first layer of the wall with it. Of course, it means using a hair dryer for easier removal. But if you barely apply it to the wall, I don't think it should rip all the paint off. It's a nightmare for a renter. This is a job for at least two people and I tried to do it myself as I live alone. I don't want to waste my money. Now my walls are terrible and plastic collects and holds hair like no other. Should have listened to other bad reviews.
