I bought it to take business trips when I rent a car. There is no way to roll it up, making it easy to carry and deploy. The best you can do is detach the phone holder from the fitting. In addition, the suction power does not stick to a clean dashboard. So I put the base in the cup holder, which works, but that's not what I bought it for. It's better than nothing, but not for the purpose I bought it for. If you're buying it for a car and you're willing to use the individual solid base components that come with it, then you're good to go.
