Works great making driving easy and distraction free. I tried installing it on the dash but it wouldn't stay in place. My iPhone 7 plus in the Otterbox Defender fits perfectly in the mount as expected. So far the mount has been securely attached to my windshield and it takes some effort to remove from the windshield so I'm confident it will hold up.
