This is a very soothing and moisturizing cream. I would recommend it right after a bath with her shampoo/wash. It's a little shiny as it goes on, but it fades. I've never been able to apply it to my face (skin is too oily) but I would do it as a last resort. Stay away if you have issues with shea butter but other than that this is a great product. I'm afraid it's being pulled from the US market because I used to be able to buy it from CVS and Target, but now it only comes in lotion form, which is so-so.
