Great little smoke machine but unfortunately didn't always work. The float device inside which was supposed to shut the machine down when there was no water in it was VERY heavy meaning the float often stayed on the bottom even when it contained a lot of water causing the machine to shut down. . This is obviously an issue when your reptile requires a certain amount of moisture. However, I've found that this can be fixed by tucking one of my childhood Legos under the float to keep it from falling to the bottom, so it was an easy fix (Legos are waterproof so I'm a medium size chosen). But that means the auto shut-off feature is disabled, so all you have to do is keep an eye on it and make sure the water doesn't go all the way down. But as the water tank is huge, be warned beforehand! Mine has been running in light to medium fog for two days and the tank is only half empty! Plus it's quiet! I can't hear mine because of the fan in our room. I deducted two stars because the float didn't work, there was a mysterious rubber ring that didn't seem to fit anywhere, and the "instruction manual" was pretty much lacking.
