The best smart lightbulb that connects to ALEXA via a hub.

I have bought several Sengled bulbs and have not been disappointed. Not only are these the cheapest bulbs of their kind, they're well made and bright. I use mine with Alexa to light up different rooms in my house. Setup is pretty easy. You need a hub to connect to Alexa. You can use a Sengled hub or Samsung Smartthings. Since I use Smartthings I didn't have to download the Sengled app. You need an app if you use their hub. All I had to do was screw them into the mount I wanted to use, turn on the light, open Smartthings and ask it to scan for devices, and within seconds the lights showed they were using a Hub and a viola were connected, I was done. Once the lightbulbs appear in the Smartthngs app, you can rename them to suit your needs. I named some of my lightbulbs "Hall Lights" because that's where I put them. Connecting to my Echo was just as easy. I was just looking for devices and they popped up right away. Now I can turn them on and off just by asking Alexa. The lamps are also dimmable. You can dim them in the Smartthings app, or ask Alexa to dim them down to 25% like I did, or whatever you like. I have to say I found the bulbs to be very bright which isn't a bad thing. Better too bright and dimmable than too dark and not brightening. Comparing them to Cree bulbs that are equivalent to these, I prefer the Sengled because in my experience they were easier to plug into a hub. I had a hell of a time connecting the Cree to the Smartthings even with the lamp next to the hub. I also bought TP-Link lamps. The benefit of this is that you don't need a hub to connect to Alexa, but if you already have a Sengled-compatible hub I'd recommend Sengled for the price alone. That my friends are the best. I have not found lamps at a better price than Sengled. At the time of writing this, they cost $8.99! Cree is more and TP-Link is much more. I can't say enough good things about these lamps. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Dimmable and Remote Control: Even when you're not at home, you can program this dimmable LED bulb to turn on and off or adjust the brightness from 1% to 100% with our Sengled Smart Home App. You can also set a countdown timer, e.g. B. Set the light to turn on at dusk or off at dawn.
