Not quite what I expected

I haven't had this brand or any other before. It's not quite what I expected, especially for the money. The intercom seemed to work well, but I also planned on using it for more than that. Open Mesh didn't work very well, even when riding right behind another bike. The range is terrible and nothing even remotely advertised as 1+ miles or anything. Everything was mostly fine within 50 meters, but it still broke a little. It was even worse when we tried to connect 3 or 4 bikes with 2 riders each. The reception was so intermittent that it was unsuitable for everyone. Wind noise is bad unless you have a full face helmet or a 3/4 face helmet where you can hold the mic on a boom behind the screen, then it's fine. But it still picks up enough noise that I think causes the next problem. It is not possible to transfer music from a headset to a passenger on the same bike. I think it's because of the wind noise it's always overriding or turning off as it thinks you're trying to speak, but I'm not 100% sure, still can't get it to work. I also can't figure out how to answer a call on the headset. It just stopped me from doing it. I heard his call but couldn't answer. I'll attribute this to user error for now, but I'll keep trying to figure out why it's not working properly. Battery life is decent and you can drive a full day just using the intercom. If you use open mesh it will be clipped. I haven't tried the group grid yet. Again, I was hoping for a lot more from this setup. But at least the passenger intercom works well if that's all you need.
