We were looking for a ceiling fan without blades for my 7 year old son's bedroom. He has a bunk bed and I wanted to avoid unnecessary injuries. This fan was perfect. Stylish and also gives lighting that looks more modern or cool for a child's room. A bit pricey but worth it for me. I also like that when the fan is on you can rotate the air so it doesn't just blow down. I wish you could hook everything up to a 3 position switch so you could control everything from a wall mounted light switch. Remember that you should only use the remote control for additional functions of the light.
