I have a love or hate relationship with Windows but I still find it necessary for some things. I like the Surface as a tablet and it's good for the things I need a PC for. If you're used to the iPad, the Surface will be very heavy but not uncomfortable. It has an integrated keyboard when you need to type and a touchscreen when you don't. Both work great. The screen is large, has excellent resolution, and the tiny speakers deliver enough sound for pretty much everything except listening to music. The tablet boots up quickly, always finds my WiFi, and uses face recognition so I don't have to enter my passcode. The design and use of this tablet is simple, intuitive and well thought out. My complaints are minor. It's expensive - more than I think it should be. It also comes with some really annoying programs that Microsoft wants you to use and that start automatically at boot time. I got fed up with them and turned them off. It also has Microsoft's annoying habit of updating whether you like it or not. Eventually the operating system will be updated and the tablet will stop working. I'm sure this is the way Microsoft will make you buy a new one. All in all if you are looking for a good portable and powerful tablet/pc I would consider this one.
