Review on πŸš— K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Boost Horsepower for 2010-2013 KIA (Forte, Forte Koup, Forte5) by David Cash

It can also work optimally!

I installed this on my 2009 Kia Optima Lx 5 speed transmission. 2.4 liters, same as the forte sx so I knew I could do it. The instructions could have been simplified, but I managed. Stock, my Optima was too quiet. I needed some noise, but not from the exhaust. Inline fours sound to me. Well, not as good as flat-fours, but intake grunts and roars can be heard from any engine configuration. It's expensive IMO, but totally worth it for me. I also have a k&n pre-filter charger for this unit. It does. The sound of 1/2 throttle and more sounds aggressive, even from 1500 rpm and into the red line. Some of my favorite RPM's with it are 1500-2000, 3000, 4000 and up to 6000+, well everything! Acceptance has improved slightly. The sound is amazing. Mileage is different. I once got 34 mpg on a 65 mph freeway trip. My car is lowered with H&R springs and the camber is fine. As long as I stay away from it, I can save my previous mileage before installing this one. If you like the sound and drama of engines I would definitely go for this one! It's loud but not obnoxious, just a good ideal noise level.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Slightly torn
