You get what you pay for
The egg slicer has never worked like the others I've had. The wires never completely cut through the egg. I always had to open it up and push the egg through with my fingers. Something is wrong with its design. The upper part also came off the device again and again and had to be put back on. I even tried flipping it and using it in reverse helped a bit. It went in the trash tonight when I couldn't open it after cutting the first egg open.
