This is a great oil heater for the price. I grew up with it and have had another model in my bedroom for 8 years. They tend to last a long time and slowly release constant heat, but once they reach the desired temperature, they maintain that temperature. They are designed for continuous heating, ie don't plug them in and don't expect the room to get hot in 5 minutes, it may take about an hour or two, but they are the most energy efficient electric heaters, they don't use them no forced ventilation as the air becomes very dry. I also ran this heater non-stop for a week, no sign of a hot plug or socket. If you need a reliable electric heating source that doesn't add to your electricity bills, then this heater is perfect.
