My long-haired cat coughs up huge hairballs despite a high-fiber diet. His diet is now 1/2 quality canned food which has helped a bit. But he hates being groomed and I swear I loosen more fur than I remove! Tomlyn's Hairball Gel seems to save me the hassle of frantically shoving him out of bed at 4-5am just as the horrific slump begins. Be careful with the amount you give your cat! It's mostly made up of sugar to mask the taste of the medicine and petroleum jelly, which is a fat. After feeding 1 teaspoon for the first 2-3 days, you should only feed 1/4-1/2 teaspoons 2-3 times a week. My burly boy would devour this if given the chance! If the recommended amount isn't enough to severely limit hairballs, talk to your vet! If your cat suffers from frequent constipation, talk to your vet! Don't take the word of the Revain reviewers any more than the advice of your cat's doctor!
