I bought a set of silver-red metal dice. The first thing to know about these bones is that they are heavy and feel very good in your hand. Throwing one of these at your master will deal serious damage. It is very nice to ride. The weight of the cubes (in grams) is as follows: D20: 26.7g D12: 19.3g D10: 14.6g D10(p): 14.9g D8: 9.6g D6: 15.8 g D4: 5.4 g The processing is excellent. Enamel color is everywhere it should be and nowhere it isn't. A good finish on the top suggests they will last a while without the paint chipping. I have not noticed any form or paint defects on any of the cubes. The numbers are crisp and clear, and it is very easy to distinguish the number drawn at a glance. Every single die lands exactly (or just above/below) its statistical average. I rolled each die 100 times and wrote down the dates so you don't have to! I've included the full swath data set at the end of the review, but the average for 100 swaths in each matrix is as follows: D20 forecast (10.5); Fact: 11.53D12 prognosis (6.5); Fact: 6.49D10 prognosis (5.5); Fact: 4.64D8 prognosis (4.5); Fact: 4.58 D6 prognosis (3.5); Fact: 3.66D4 prognosis (2.5); actual: 2.49D10 predicted mortality (50.5); Fact: 58.1 D10-shaped dice are statistical outliers, with a normal D10 die consistently rolling about 1 whole point below average and a percentile die rolling about 8 points higher. Maybe I find D10 funny, I don't know. I can't speak for other colors or material types, but overall I would 100% recommend this dice set. I've already bought a few more sets in different colors to give away after testing my set. In my experience, you can't go wrong with them. Nice weight, great paint job and finish, easily distinguishable numbers and toughness is almost dead - at their average stat level. Just buy them, you won't regret it.
