This lamp system is just perfect! 6 units attached under my kitchen cabinets with very strong adhesive plates. (Be careful to place them correctly as they can be difficult to remove. Screws are also included if you choose to mount them this way.) Patch cords are long enough to accommodate the spacing between cabinets, even around a corner. Cables do not need to be cut or spliced. There are plenty of cord clips so you can eliminate any slack simply by wrapping the excess around the clips. Did the whole job in 30 minutes. The system is powered from a low voltage power supply, so you don't have to worry about 110VAC wiring under the cabinets. Extension adapters are also available to allow the units to be connected without cables, resulting in a longer lamp strip. I didn't need this feature, but it's a thoughtful addition that you might want if you're lighting for a long time. Best of all, the lamps can be switched on and off, dimmed and brightened simply by waving your hand underneath them. the first block in the chain (which is connected to the power supply). A switch is not required. Just wave and voila! Let there be light! Two buyer considerations: 1) Units are available in both black and white. Be sure to choose the right one for you. 2) Blocks are available in two different intensities: Daylight and Warm. Daylight was too "bluish" for me. The warm white was perfect for my taste. You cannot change the color. You need to order the right one on git-go. Also, I recommend that you test each device before installing it by plugging it into a power source one at a time to make sure it works. I found out the hard way (after installation) that the last block didn't work. But no worry; "Zon sent me a replacement in just a few days with no hassle. Thank you Zone! I installed these lamps to put my house up for sale. What a difference they made! I wish I had done this many years ago. Will definitely be ordering another set for my new home. I have since moved and have a new set of these lamps in my new church. Very easy.
