Review on ๐ŸŽง Auris Amplify Portable Hi-Fi Bluetooth Adapter Receiver with 32bit DAC Amp, LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, Clip & 3.5mm AUX Output - Black by Randy Jagers

Definitely worth it if you can set the default BT quality settings.

Definitely a good little product. Using the LG V20 with Sprint, the audio quality is definitely at fidelity levels when compared to the V20's onboard 32-bit DAC via the AudioTechnica Ath-m40x and Sennheiser HD599. The output volume of the V20 is a bit higher, but otherwise everything is the same. Auris currently uses it as a Bluetooth connection to a portable speaker system, and while there's never been an issue connecting to a person, there's a noticeable difference in connectivity (range/stability). Drop-off is also slight, but enough to make you notice lost packets (stuttering) sooner than the dedicated BT speakers. Even with that slight downside, using Sony's LDAC codec allows for hi-fi audio, as your phone's Bluetooth is set to prioritize accuracy over connection (a very simple onboard BT setting of the V20). All in all a very decent product that delivers high quality with a relatively long battery life (MAX 12 hours at minimum volume) and reasonable Bluetooth capability. Unfortunately, I don't use the hands-free system, so the functionality of the microphone has not yet been tested.
