This kettle does what it's supposed to. Heats water quickly and quietly and turns off automatically shortly after boiling. I worked 229 days in my office and made about 3 cups of tea a day. Today when I wanted to turn it on, the glass literally shattered into big and small pieces all over the floor. I had more than the minimum amount of water and the room is temperature controlled. So I don't know what the problem was, but it wasn't forcibly addressed. So I think the buyer should be careful? Tl;drGlass broke into many pieces after 8 months of regular use.
