Review on Light Ranger Spade Style Adapter by Stephen Burgstaller

Very well thought out, works great!

I have been building trailers for many years. I usually hook up the entire trailer and then test that it works properly with the vehicle when I'm done. If a mistake is made, it will be very difficult to correct. So I worked on a water sports trailer to transport 3 jet skis, 2 kayaks, 3 kayaks, a huge 10 person kayak, 3 flyboards, 2 inner tubes and 6 gear bags. I wanted to add reverse lights so I can see the end of the ramp. So I pre-built the entire trailer, soldered and heat-shrunk all the connections, and routed the wires for all the lights as needed. I connected the first parking light in the middle of the trailer and switched the test function to the parking light. The self-resetting automatic circuit breaker triggered immediately. Hmm, and I thought where did I screw up. Using this tester and multimeter, I discovered that I had accidentally swapped the +/- wires on two parking lights halfway down the trailer, creating a complete short to ground. Stupid mistake, it must have been a night when I worked very late. simple solution for early detection. So I checked the rest of the cables and everything was fine. Plugging in each bulb one at a time, it was very easy to check when I was driving and everything worked great. The low cost of this tester has saved me many hours of work. I used it to find an intermittent connection on 3 other trailers, which saved me the trouble of reconnecting the entire trailer. Good unit.

Pros
  • Portable cleaning wherever there is an air supply with Venturi injector; The self-cleaning design uses less solvent and keeps the work area clean.
Cons
