Review on AlphaTRAK 2 Blood Glucose Test Strips - 50 Count by Andy Edwards

Great product but disappointed with the price and freestyle strips?

I will embark on the same issue as the other reviewers in terms of price! The product is excellent but the price is ridiculous. Abbott's human test strip version, the Freestyle version, is only $30 at Revain. These are the same strips but I believe the only difference is that the pet strips are individually tested for quality. I think that gives them the right to raise the price. My vet said FS strips can be used for AT2 but they may have a slight deviation in calculation. It is therefore recommended to have both for a proper comparison if you decide to go down this route. I'm not the number-playing type when it comes to my cat's health, but other than that I would definitely consider just saving a few extra bucks because $50 a box is crazy. Verses from Abbott because co. was officially purchased in 2015. Maybe just google it. Now back to the Freestyle Human Strips which can be used with the AT2 diabetic pet reader. Well I recently had a change to try this out. I bought FS strips on eBay for $28. The code on it was 16. I made sure I had AT strips on hand to compare readings. I left the same cat code which was 37 on the reader. In any case, the FS reader was much higher. The first test is 13 higher and the second nipple is 56 higher. Despite being the same strips, the readings are far from the same, so don't use them. Just use AT strips. Yes, it's a headache to spend the extra $20, but what should we do? It's better to get accurate readings on your pet because they're worth it.
