I love these trays! suitable for breastfeeding

We bought these bowls a few weeks ago, just before the birth of our second child. We have always used pouches for our eldest daughter, which worked well, but we wasted a lot of milk on them and they were quite expensive to buy. Our youngest daughter is now one month old and due to the overfullness problem I had to express milk immediately. Although I haven't used them for an incredibly long time, I can definitely say that they are worth buying. ADVANTAGES: - Cheaper than milk storage bags. This is a huge benefit for me considering I can easily eat 3-4 packets a day with my excess while continuing to exclusively breastfeed. We just freeze them, take out the milk sticks, put them in a Ziploc and label the bag, then put it back in the freezer. Yes, the chopsticks stick together a bit, but they separate easily and don't break. You can defrost the desired amount of milk. You can take a bag of 8 milk sticks, just take 4 and freeze the rest for when needed. This reduces milk loss. You really only need to buy one set of bowls unless you have excess milk. This allows you to freeze 16 ounces at a time, which most women probably won't need. Best case scenario, I'm doing 8 ounces right now, so I've got a whole tray left. I think I'll buy an extra set to donate as I have an overstock. CONS: - It's a little hard to tell where the 1 ounce mark is, but I was usually just judging and trying to match it. - They will likely take up a little more freezer space than freezing milk storage bags flat. The smaller 4-ounce bottles fit no more than a few milk sticks. We could only get about 3 in these bottles, so we often used a separate mug or bottle (big one at 8 ounces) to thaw 4 ounces of milk. Not sure how to get around this yet, but they are small enough to fit in the neck of almost any bottle. However, these little things don't make me rate them below 5 stars. I highly recommend them to breastfeeding moms, especially if you want to be frugal.
