The bird died less than 6 hours after the feeder was placed.

He was a healthy and happy bird. Feeders received and installed. A few hours later I found him dead with spread wings on the bottom of the cage. I have no idea what exactly happened. It was the only variable. I have had this bird for several years now. If you buy this I would say bird watching all the time. And don't leave a bird unattended with a feeder until you're sure your birds are safe with this feeder. He looks harmless, so it didn't occur to me that he might kill my bird. If I had a time machine, I would do what I just said. And don't leave my bird unattended with this item. Of course I am very upset as he was my only bird. And my last bird for a while as I can't get another one at the moment. It is with a heavy heart that I am sending this feeder back. Please be extremely careful when you buy it.
