I like all in one

This light was exactly what I was looking for. I have had previous NiteRider flashlights for the past 12 years and both have worked very well. Earlier flashlights had separate batteries. I love the all in one and with improved battery technology this unit has the same battery life and more lumens than previous flashlights I've had. I thought about buying an upgraded model with a digital display but decided it was more than I needed. I saw some reviews complaining that the mount wasn't very good and the upgrade mount was better. My road bike has oval section carbon ergobars on either side of the stem, but with little room to mount a round light mount right next to the stem. But this is exactly where the cables emerge from the recessed cable duct in the direction of the brake caps. The included rubber band on the mount fits the cables well. It started to slip a bit on the first wet ride so I just tightened the strap up to the next hole which was easier with wet bars. This prevented him from slipping. The only complaint I have is that the instructions weren't that clear. The flashlight is in "lockout" mode and the instructions don't begin by explaining this or how to get it out of lockout mode (although this is mentioned elsewhere in the activating lockout mode section). When you start it for the first time, you need to press and hold the power button for 6 seconds to exit lock mode. After that, the brightness increases with each press of the button. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to switch to flashing mode. Press the button again to switch to the second blink setting, press it a third time and it switches to low level for wandering. Press again and you'll revert to the lowest continuous beam and keep changing the intensity of the continuous beam unless you press and hold it again for 3 seconds to go back to the flash and wander settings. Double-click at any time to go to the maximum light output setting. Hope that clears it up!
