This USB-C DP adapter works really well, especially for VR when you need an adapter to convert your VR's DP to USB-C. Remember that you need a USB-C adapter that supports DP and connects directly to the GPU, otherwise it won't work. Used it flawlessly with my HP Reverb, no disconnects, nothing. I'm a little worried that the USB-C might break or that the adapter might melt as it's REALLY hot to the touch, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. Also, this adapter supports DP 1.4, so make sure you get it for something like the HP Reverb (G2) and future DP headsets. The Oculus Rift S works fine with it too, and I also tried a 144Hz 1080p gaming monitor.
