We do not use drinking water hoses when camping in car parks, only for showering and washing dishes. We use bottled water (from the home plumbing system) for drinking, so I cannot comment on the taste of the water from this hose. The design seems good but we only use them for 2 weeks maybe 8 times a year. I do NOT recommend using these hoses if you need to store them in your RV if you disconnect them when the temperature is below about 45°F (7°C). I recently attempted to roll up this storage hose in my RV when the temperature was 3.3C. With some effort, I managed to bend the hose with no visible damage, but he insisted on getting it back to a straight position. I gave up after 10 minutes and hung the hose unfolded on my roof ladder, securing only one bend with elastic cords. Later on when I was out and about, after the temperature had risen, I was able to roll it up and store it neatly. Next time I'll use an electrically heated hose, even if the cold doesn't drop below zero.
