I do not recommend this item.

Extremely upset with this purchase. The hose looks good. I've just used it for the first time. Water flows out of the connector end that attaches to the faucet. The hose is securely attached. It spurts out of the coupling onto the hose itself. It's very annoying to spend so much money on something that is useless.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Socket required

Pretty good on water hoses and fittings

I haven't had this hose for a long time but have taken it on a few cold weather hikes and am very happy with it. The hose has survived a couple of hard freezes, hasn't snapped and seems to be quite well made (I really like the stainless steel fittings) - the water doesn't taste weird either. The reason I took the star off is because the tubing kinks quite a bit and I have found it almost impossible to straighten in cold weather because the tubing becomes very hard and stiff.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Quick start guide

TIRE TASTES LIKE FIRE

The horrible chemical smell and taste of water from this hose is shocking. I was hoping it would go away quickly with use, but after a few months it didn't. I bought a Lifestraw filter jug for drinking and boiling water, but the point of spending the extra money on a cooking hose was to be able to drink my best local city water without resorting to filtration. The water still smells strong enough to make showering uncomfortable. I will buy an ordinary garden hose to replace this expensive junk…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

Nice looking hose! - Fresh Water Systems

I buy this hose all the time. I bought this 50ft hose and the 10ft hose. I always buy these hoses. They last a long time. I like the way they handle and they are big enough to release water with more pressure and water. Be sure to buy a good nozzle with hose. You can have a hose this good, but a bad cheap nozzle will ruin the spray quality. Like all hoses you cannot leave them out in freezing weather unless you keep them well drained when not in active use. So with almost all hoses. These hoses

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The construction of this hose is good and there is no strange taste or problems with the operation of the hose. However, the hose is quite stiff and we use it with our RV to connect to city (drinking) water to keep our internal fresh water tank full. Once filled, the hose needs to be stored again, so one star is deducted from my rating. The hose is difficult to roll back to a compact size for storage. I don't like messing around with it and it ends up taking up too much space in our limited…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Very, very tough for temperatures below 45F (7C).

We do not use drinking water hoses when camping in car parks, only for showering and washing dishes. We use bottled water (from the home plumbing system) for drinking, so I cannot comment on the taste of the water from this hose. The design seems good but we only use them for 2 weeks maybe 8 times a year. I do NOT recommend using these hoses if you need to store them in your RV if you disconnect them when the temperature is below about 45°F (7°C). I recently attempted to roll up this storage…

Cons

Unsafe with UV radiation

I bought several of these hoses for use in the stable. I noticed a terrible plastic smell from water coming from hoses exposed to the sun, so I figured evaluating a drinking water hose with UV stabilizers would make this hose last longer. These hoses are not in the water. Sunshine all day as the sun moves across the sky leaving it in the shade for half a day. Since last year, after 3 years of use, these hoses have become badly discolored and are giving the water the same unpleasant plastic…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some little things
